Parent Coaching

My baby is going to grow up to be…

Remember when you held your baby and had amazing hopes and dreams of who they will become and all the adventures they will experience?

You likely imagined health, happiness, satisfaction, achievement.

You probably didn’t imagine feeling isolated or not in control of your family life. You now have a stack of parenting books on your bedside table and have registered for a workshop or two – but none of them speak specifically to your struggles in your family.

Each child, each parent, each family –
all unique

I want to help you explore, examine, and discover solutions that are unique to you and your child.

Through parent coaching, we can learn to better manage specific concerns or problems. I offer therapeutic support to strengthen your relationship with your child.

Play therapy – discover what your child is really thinking

Through the power of play, I can meet and understand the challenges and motivations of your child. I can then translate those motivations and perceptions to you and help you develop techniques that will ease the tension in your parenting.

Is it you – or is it your child?

Parenting can bring up your own challenges, and it can be difficult to decipher the difference between working through your own challenges and those of your child.

Let me empower you…

I offer individual psychotherapy for parents, postpartum, and perinatal support. I believe that a happy parent creates a happy child. It is my goal to empower you to feel confident in your parenting decisions and management so that you can spend less time working at parenting and more time enjoying your children.

I encourage you to remember those early visions of yourself as a parent and of your children – know that they are still possible.

Contact me today by scheduling a 20-minute phone consultation, so we can begin working on finding happiness in your parenting role again.

“I can’t recommend Jessica highly enough! We first began working with Jessica when our son was nine months old. He had slept through the night once in his life and at that point needed to be rocked in his stroller for an hour to sleep and was waking three to four times a night wanting a bottle. We were exhausted and at a complete loss as to how to undo his deeply ingrained sleep associations. After speaking with Jessica and coming up with a plan tailored to our family and our needs, we saw results after just one night. After three nights, our son was completely night weaned and sleeping through the night. We finally got the restful sleep we had been missing and our precious baby was finally getting the sleep he needed for his healthy development. We are now working with Jessica a second time to support our son through his two-year-old sleep regression and we know that we will see the same results. Thanks for all of your knowledge, guidance, and support, Jessica!”
